How does your spine affect your birth outcome?
"Maintaining and improving the function of your spine with chiropractic adjustments throughout your pregnancy helps to clear your nervous system of interference. This allows you to be as healthy as possible and enables your body to easily combat many of the physical hurdles of pregnancy" -Dr. Jennifer Barham-Floreani
Comfort for baby
Having optimal spinal and pelvic alignment allows for baby to have the SPACE to move and grow. Spinal subluxations (misalignments) can cause constraint within the uterus and pelvis, interfering with baby's ability to move as needed (ICPA Research). Chiropractic adjustments and the Webster Technique correct the spinal subluxations and allow the body and pelvis to come back into a state of ease and balance, putting less stress on baby and mom.
Comfort during birth
Moms during pregnancy have experienced significantly less back pain and discomfort during pregnancy. A study done reported 91% of moms had relief from their back pain with chiropractic care (Daly). It has been documented that moms who received chiropractic care during pregnancy, reported a significant reduction in labor time of up to 39% (Fallon).
